So, after fixing a ridiculous bug that precluded creation of users (and thus of posting, because such was connected to creation of users), I decided to allow anonymous posting of positions.
This deserves a more attention. Yes, we are potentially inviting trolls. However, one of the goals of the system is to eliminate bias as a significant influence. This is why when a position is posted, even if the user is logged in, the identity is not shown. This is also why we are not putting counts to show how many people have voted one way or another. We’ll be putting up aggregate percentages, but if 100% of visitors agree, you don’t know whether this is 1, 10, or 1000 users and this is intentional – think for yourself!
Anyway, we’ll be gradually improving the platform over the days ahead. Please post positions, responses, etc.

First of all, to answer the question “Why?”
Because when we vote, we should know why we vote. And we should be able to quickly identify pros and cons for every candidate rather than relying on BS political campaigns that play on emotions rather anything resembling analysis.
And now for the longer answer:
